Performance Enrichment Program
Coordinator: Michele Britten
Markham Skating Club's exclusive Performance Enrichment Program (PEP) is designed to improve skaters' edges, stamina, skill and form. It is a great way for dedicated and goal-oriented skaters to move ahead quickly. PEP is designed to partner with skaters' individual lessons to better prepare them for performing in future tests and competition settings. The program is structured to expose skaters to a variety of fun and productive activities addressing all the requirements of Skate Canada's Long Term Athletic Development Model.
The cost of a PEP session includes group lessons, coach-led drills and other instruction by Markham Skating Club coaches. PEP sessions are designed to include specific weekly topics of focus along with instruction in small groups each week.
Participants must be at the Intermediate level or higher, and must also skate a minimum of one other session per week at MSC.
The Performance Enrichment Program also includes a 30 minute off-ice class either immediately before or after the PEP on-ice session on Wednesdays. When you register, please indicate which off-ice session you will be attending.
Session 1: 5:40-6:10pm
Session 2: 7:00-7:30pm
