Registration Information

Registration for the Fall 2011 season will be held at the Markham Village Arena (Markham Rd. & Hwy. 7) on the following dates:

After these dates, registration will continue at the Markham Skating Club office during office hours.

Please note that some sessions fill quickly, and registrations are processed on a first-come first-served basis. It is recommended that you register early to ensure you obtain space in your preferred sessions.

Office Hours:

The Markham Skating Club office is located at the west end of the Markham Village Arena lobby.

After Sept 7th, 2011

• Mondays: 10:00-2:00 and 5:30-6:30
• Tuesdays: 10:00-2:00 and 7:00-9:00
• Thursdays: 10:00-2:00 and 5:30-7:30
• Fridays: 6:10-8:00
• Saturdays: 9:00-1:00

Outside office hours, or if it is not convenient for you to visit the office, please call or email us, and we will return your message as soon as possible.

Forms of Payment Accepted:

Payment for the Spring 2011 season may be made by Visa, MasterCard, cash or cheque. Payment in full is due upon registration. All skaters wishing to participate in any Markham Skating Club program or event must be a member in good standing. “Member in good standing” means paid in full and meeting the minimum requirements.

Notes:
Session choice cannot be confirmed until payment or arrangement is made in full.

All skaters wishing to participate in private coaching, Skate Canada testing, or competitions of any kind must be a “Member in Good Standing” (i.e. all fees paid in full or complete arrangements made) and must have enrolled in an appropriate MSC program with at least the minimum required days of skating.

Family Discount:

For families with two or more skaters at MSC, the second highest membership receives a 5% discount while the third & subsequent skaters each receive a 10% discount.

Refunds:

A fee of $35 will be charged for any cancellations of memberships prior to the start of skating. There will be no refunds except for medical reasons only as approved by the MSC Board of Executive. There are no exceptions.

NSF Cheques / Returned payments

A fee of $35 will be levied for any returned payments, which must be replaced with a certified cheque or other guaranteed form of payment. Replacement payment must be received within 14 days to continue the skater’s membership with MSC.

Communication:

When you register, please provide email addresses for every relevant individual in your family (consider all adults and teens) so we can keep you updated on changes to schedules, current events and important announcements. If you do not have access to email, please be sure to check this website or the bulletin board in the lobby of the Markham Village Arena on a regular basis.
